Recently, the paper "Exploring Consumers' Reluctance of Help-Seeking during Consumption: The Role of Consumption Type" published at the 17th Annual Conference of JMS China Marketing Science & Doctoral Consortium by Assistant Professor Shaobo Li, Department of Information Systems and Management Engineering, SUSTech, won the Excellent Paper Award. Assistant Professor Shaobo Li is the first author of the paper collaborating with Assistant Professor Xun Huang and Dr. Le Wang from Nanyang Technological University and Professor Yuwei Jiang from Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

Annual Conference of JMS China Marketing Science is the academic conference with the largest scale and academic influence in the field of marketing management in Asia. It is an academic platform for the exchange of academic ideas, the display of research results, and the enhancement of research capabilities. This annual conference is sponsored by the Journal of Marketing Science, undertaken by the Department of Management and Economics of Tianjin University, co-organized by the China University Marketing Research Association and the Marketing Committee of the China Management Modernization Research Association, and supported by the Management Science Department of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. The theme of this year is "Marketing in the New Situation: Change and Innovation".
Dr. Shaobo Li joined the Division of Information Systems and Management Engineering of Southern University of Science and Technology in 2019 as an assistant professor and doctoral supervisor. He was selected for the Shenzhen High-level Talent Program. He has won the best doctoral dissertation award at the 2019 Vancouver Academy of Marketing Science, the 2018 China Scholarship Council Outstanding International Student Scholarship, and the 2017 Nanyang Business School Best Graduate Teaching Award. His paper was published in Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, a top business journal. At the same time, he has read his papers at various top international conferences (ACR, SCP, AMA, EMAC).
